Agile / Technical Delivery Lead (SAFe)
Swindon - flexible and hybrid working options
Band E - £42,730 - £48,000
It’s an exciting time to join UKSBS as we transform our business to be the leading UK public sector business service provider. We aim to become a very different organisation over the next few years as we move to a modern multi-platform, digitally enabled organisation.
About the role
We are looking for an Agile / Technical Delivery Lead to join the Digital & Information (D&I) team at UK Shared Business Services.
This role is focused on Agile delivery within technical teams, supporting the planning and coordination of work across engineering, enterprise systems and digital platforms.
You will work closely with engineering teams to facilitate Agile delivery practices including sprint planning, backlog management and delivery coordination, ensuring initiatives progress smoothly from planning through to release.
This role would suit someone with a technical PM / Project Co-ordination background who already has experience coordinating delivery within IT or digital teams and is looking to build on that experience in a role that combines delivery planning, stakeholder engagement and team facilitation within a technical environment.
You will act as a central point of coordination between technical teams and the wider organisation, helping to keep delivery focused and aligned to priorities. The role requires someone who is comfortable working in technical environments and understands how IT teams operate, but whose real strength lies in organisation, communication and stakeholder engagement.
Many of the services delivered within UKSBS support enterprise business systems and core digital platforms used across government organisations. Experience working in environments involving ERP or enterprise platforms such as Oracle, Workday or similar systems, as well as infrastructure or cloud-based services, will help you quickly understand how these teams deliver change and support critical services.
What you’ll be doing
Facilitating delivery planning activities such as iteration planning, backlog readiness and review sessions
Supporting technical teams to stay aligned on priorities and coordinating delivery across multiple initiatives
Working with infrastructure, enterprise systems and digital teams to help ensure work progresses effectively
Managing relationships with stakeholders and providing clear updates on delivery progress, risks and timelines
Supporting testing, release and service transition activities as solutions move into production
Encouraging teams to continuously improve how work is planned, prioritised and delivered
Using delivery tooling such as Jira and Confluence to support transparent and organised ways of working
What we’re looking for
Experience supporting delivery within Agile project environments (not IT / helpdesk teams)
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience facilitating planning sessions or coordinating delivery activity across teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities and keep teams focused on agreed objectives
Comfortable working with technical teams and understanding how IT services are delivered
Experience using delivery or collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence or similar platforms
In return for your skills and experience, we can offer you flexible and remote working options for a 37hr week (full time) with start and finish times between 8am – 6pm, or part time hours to suit.
