What’s the role?

As a Delivery Lead , you will lead and manage program and project activities delivering data solutions for the Group Business Units Solutions & Platforms team, supporting Westpac’s strategic goals and business outcomes. You will oversee delivery within agreed scope, time, cost, and quality, managing risks, financials, and governance reporting. You will ensure adherence to data management standards and Agile frameworks, drive consistent delivery across squads, and support innovation through cloud and automation.

Additionally, you’ll engage closely with senior stakeholders, business leaders, and SMEs to promote strong data practices and identify high-value opportunities across domains. You will build trusted relationships, influence decisions, and ensure alignment across business and technology teams while maintaining clear and effective communication.

You willlead, coach, and support teams to deliver complex programs successfully, fostering collaboration, high performance, and a strong customer-focused mindset through effective leadership and negotiation skills.

What do I need?

  • Strong agile delivery experience across data and analytics initiatives within banking or financial services.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders to drive strategic data programs and outcomes.
  • Strong track record leading large-scale cloud transformation programs and promoting adoption of cloud-based solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with key data and analytics technologies such as Snowflake, Azure, and SAS.
  • Experience delivering enterprise platforms including Axiom, IBM Planning Analytics, and Cognos Analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience managing onshore and offshore resource partners to deliver complex programs.
  • Experience working within large matrix organisations with a strong understanding of cross-functional business dynamics.
