About the Role

The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering fresh floral products to flower shops throughout North Carolina. This position plays a key role in ensuring customers receive high-quality products on time while providing dependable, professional service and maintaining compliance with company, safety, and DOT requirements.

What You’ll Do

  • Safely operate a commercial van to complete assigned delivery routes.
  • Deliver fresh flowers and related products accurately and on time while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Load, unload, and handle products safely, including products weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe delivery vehicle and ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Navigate assigned routes efficiently using maps, GPS, and route-planning tools.
  • Work effectively in warehouse and refrigerated cooler environments, including temperatures around 34°F, using equipment such as pallet jacks, box cutters, and RF scanners.
  • Build positive customer relationships through clear communication, professionalism, and dependable service.
  • Follow all company policies, safety standards, and applicable DOT regulations.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role involves regular work in a warehouse and refrigerated cooler environment, including temperatures around 34°F. The position requires frequent driving, as well as standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing in and out of the delivery vehicle, and loading and unloading products.

The ability to regularly lift and move products weighing up to 60 pounds is required. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The role also requires the ability to safely operate a commercial van and related material-handling equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Other Information

  • Location: Raleigh Distribution Team

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays required

  • Start Time: 6AM
  • End Time: Upon completion of the assigned delivery route
  • Work Setting: Onsite
  • Travel: Daily local/regional delivery routes throughout North Carolina

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • At least 2 years of professional experience driving commercial vehicles
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Acceptable driving record, subject to periodic review
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds regularly
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to use maps and GPS for route planning and navigation
  • Strong time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Dependable, self-motivated, team-oriented, and hardworking approach
  • Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screenings
