We are seeking a dependable, experienced Delivery Driver (Class A CDL) to become a vital part of our delivery team. Physical strength and stamina, as well as a clean driving record, are required. The ideal candidate will be organized, efficient, and professional while ensuring deliveries are made accurately and on time.

Schedule

  • Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday
  • Days Off: Friday and Sunday
  • Monday through Thursday: Start time is typically 5:00 AM and shifts run until route completion, generally around 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, depending on the route and delivery volume.
  • Saturday Chicago Shuttle Run: Driver departs Cincinnati at approximately 10:30 PM on Friday night in a 53-foot tractor trailer, delivers to the Chicago branch, and returns to Cincinnati around 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday.

On Monday through Thursday, the driver will primarily operate a box truck or smaller trailer delivering products to customers. Saturday consists of a dedicated shuttle run between the Cincinnati and Chicago branches using a 53-foot trailer.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure inventory stock matches delivery requirements.
  • Follow established and scheduled delivery routes.
  • Read maps or use GPS to determine and track daily routes.
  • Ensure products are delivered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Load and organize product inventory from the warehouse into the vehicle and unload products as needed throughout the day.
  • Collect signatures and/or payments at delivery locations.
  • Communicate delivery progress with the warehouse as needed.
  • Maintain and organize all delivery paperwork and submit it to the appropriate personnel at the end of each shift.
  • Report any accidents, safety concerns, or vehicle issues encountered while on route.
  • Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies.
  • Comply with all state and federal requirements for loading and unloading products.
  • Complete shuttle runs from the Cincinnati branch to the Chicago branch and back.

About You

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Clean driving record with no moving violations.
  • Must pass a DOT physical.
  • Proficient in operating and maneuvering large commercial vehicles.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 25 pounds regularly.
  • Experience with hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts is a plus.
  • Professional demeanor with strong customer service skills.
  • Dependable, hardworking, and an effective communicator.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

DOT Language Requirements

Who Must Meet This Requirement:

Drivers operating a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) who must be qualified under DOT/FMCSA driver qualification regulations, including CDL-required CMV drivers.

Requirements

Under 49 C.F.R. § 391.11(b)(2), a driver must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to:

  • Converse with the general public.
  • Understand highway traffic signs and signals in English.
  • Respond to official inquiries.
  • Make entries on reports and records.

  • Competente en conducir y estacionar vehículos grandes.
  • Físicamente en forma y fuerte, capaz de levantar 25 libras cómodamente.
  • Experiencia en el uso de carretillas manuales, transpaletas y montacargas, es un plus.
  • Disposición profesional y agradable, capaz de brindar a todos los clientes una experiencia positiva de servicio al cliente.
  • El candidato debe ser confiable, trabajador y un comunicador eficaz.
  • Excelentes habilidades de gestión del tiempo y organizativas requeridas.
