Out of the Woods, located in Layton, Utah, is a woodworking and cabinetry company built on craftsmanship, quality, and pride in doing things right. We are looking for a Delivery Driver to join our team. If you enjoy being on the road, take pride in delivering quality products with exceptional customer service, and are willing to jump in and support cabinet assembly when needed, we'd love to hear from you.
Pay: $16.00–$20.00/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–3:30 PM

What You'll Do
Delivery Responsibilities
- Load cabinets into company delivery trucks and properly strap and secure them for transport.
- Use delivery checklists to ensure all cabinets and miscellaneous cabinet parts are loaded before departure.
- Safely drive company trucks containing cabinets to client locations while following all traffic laws.
- Unload cabinets from company trucks at client locations.
- Provide positive and professional communication with clients during deliveries.
- Return the delivery truck to the company location after completing deliveries.
- Maintain all equipment used on the job, including the delivery vehicle.
- Perform a vehicle inspection each day before use.
- Immediately report any vehicle problems and complete the appropriate documentation.
- Notify management immediately of equipment problems or any observed safety risks.
Cabinet Assembly & Shop Support
During slower delivery periods, you'll assist the assembly team in the warehouse with cabinet production and shop responsibilities, including:
- Complete built cabinet boxes by installing drawer slides, accessories, completed doors, drawer boxes, and drawer fronts.
- Set up and operate woodworking machines.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, measurements, and work orders.
- Follow quality and safety procedures, including requirements outlined in Safety Data Sheets and other company safety guides.
- Set up, maintain, and clean your workstation.
- Notify management immediately of equipment problems or other observed safety risks.
- Perform other duties and functions as necessary or assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required/Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous delivery driver or box truck experience preferred.
- Ability to meet Out of the Woods Custom Cabinetry's vehicle insurance eligibility requirements.
- Experience operating hand tools or power tools required.
- Experience operating shop machinery preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions in English.
- Ability to perform daily vehicle inspections and accurately complete required delivery and vehicle documentation.
- Ability to follow delivery routes, schedules, checklists, and client instructions.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with coworkers, leadership, contractors, and customers.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, measurements, and work orders.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
- Basic understanding of woodworking tools, equipment, and shop practices preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members.
- Willingness to learn new skills and cross-train in other areas of the shop.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening requirements.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Typically complete two to four deliveries per day.
- Work is performed both in a warehouse environment and in a delivery truck, with exposure to varying weather conditions while making deliveries.
- Regularly sit or stand for extended periods.
- Regularly use a computer to enter data and read labels, signs, measuring devices, and information on computer screens.
- Regular repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements.
- Regularly grasp, push, reach, and feel the attributes of objects.
- Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Exposure to typical warehouse noise and dust.
- Regular use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), including closed-toe shoes and eye and hearing protection.
