About the role

We are seeking a reliable and responsible casual Delivery Driver to join our Cairns team working approximately 25 to 30 hours per week. This role will require a self-motivated individual with strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as a crucial part of the wider team, ensuring the delivery of goods to our customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficient and accurate multi-drop deliveries to our local customer base
• Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver food products to customer locations
• Checking of orders and invoices at time of delivery and raising any discrepancies
• Assistance with dispatch and loading of vehicle, ensuring orders are packed and stacked in a safe manner to avoid injury and/or damage
• Provide excellent customer service
• To undertake all duties in a safe, responsible and courteous manner]

Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications

• Current C-Class drivers’ licence (essential)
• Forklift Licence (preferable)
• Previous merchandising experience is highly desirable
• Experience in multi-drop deliveries preferred but not essential
• Customer focused with an appreciation for being the 'public face' of the company
• Good organisation, communication and time-management skills
• Enthusiastic and reliable approach to work
• Highly motivated and flexible, with a solid work ethic and positive, can-do attitude
• Be able to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
• Great attention to detail
• Ability to solve problems and learn a broad range of products
• Physically fit and able to undertake the duties of the role, including lifting/manual handling and repetitive entering/exiting of a vehicle
