Delivery Driver

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Delivery Driver is responsible for loading, transporting and delivering by Hino L7 customer orders in a professional and timely manner.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sign into and update Geotab digital GPS log daily
Preform multipoint vehicle inspection daily using digital log
Verify and pack orders designated for your delivery vehicle
Load vehicle with forklift, properly secure load and tie down truck curtains
Read and consider any special delivery notes/instructions
Work in team with warehouse supervisor and sales determine delivery routes
Enter delivery details into computer system for trackability
Call customers to confirm delivery locations and times as required
Deliver the goods within the required time frame, at the right location, at the right customer
Unload and place the material as per customers' preferences; pick up returns as required
Obtain digital POD and capture delivery pictures
Deal with route and itinerary changes;
Assist with Warehouse tasks as assigned when delivery schedule is light or completed for the day.
Keep a well maintained, clean and tidy vehicle
REQUIREMENTS:
Confidence using computer based delivery management software
Ability to communicate effectively over text, phone and email
Hold a valid Class G driving license (Z class endorsement an asset, but not required)
Minimum of 3-year experience driving dock level vehicles
Minimum 3-year experience operating forklift (recertification can be provided)
Comfortable driving large vehicles with tailgate (Hino L7)
Client oriented & customer service focused; good listener towards customers delivery requirements
Flexibility in working hours
Be able to handle loads over 50lbs
Experience with trailer an asset
Good knowledge of spoken English is required;
