Who Are We?
Advancing Analytics are a market leader in delivering pioneering analytical solutions for customers all over the world. To thrive in today's market, businesses need to implement AI built on a solid, reliable Data Platform, and we are looking for you to help us build it!
Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a Delivery Director who will be hands-on leading client engagements directly, running complex programmes, and setting the standard for how we deliver. You'll own the successful delivery of our data and AI projects across all clients, ensuring everything lands to scope, on time, and profitably with exceptional quality and client satisfaction at the heart of everything we do.
At the same time, you'll be building the foundations that let us scale: the processes, the people, and the culture that takes what works at 100 people and makes it work at 400. You'll act as the bridge between sales, technical leads, and customers, driving consistency, efficiency, and accountability across the portfolio while staying close enough to clients to spot risks early, build trust, and shape what comes next.
Lead delivery on key client engagements directly acting as Programme or Project Manager on complex, high-value work.
Be a visible, trusted presence with clients: someone they call when things get complicated, not just when things go wrong.
Shape Statements of Work, delivery plans, and engagement structures during pre-sales and then own what you've committed to.
Support strategic accounts in evolving from project-based work to longer-term, deeper partnerships.
Own the successful delivery of all client projects across Databricks, GenAI, Azure, and modern data platforms.
Define and embed delivery methodologies that balance agility with structure, practical frameworks that PMs use.
Run portfolio-level delivery reviews: performance, risk, quality, and continuous improvement. Ensure all engagements meet agreed outcomes, timelines, quality standards, and client expectations.
Build the delivery quality framework, artefacts, standards of done, testing expectations, and governance that scales.
Drive a culture of ownership, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across all delivery teams.
Working with teams across the UK, EU and the US.
Manage project financials including margin, utilisation, revenue recognition, and forecasting accuracy.
Ensure commercial commitments made in pre-sales align with delivery reality and capacity.
Partner with Finance to support accurate forecasting, billing, and financial reporting.
Lead, coach, and develop Delivery Managers, Project Managers, and Technical Leads - help us take what works today to the next level.
Support our Learning & Development Manager in building career pathways, skills frameworks, and development plans for the delivery roles.
Act as an escalation point for key accounts, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and relationships are strengthened.
Support client engagement strategy, contributing to long-term account growth and client satisfaction.
Support strategic customer engagements, shaping longer term projects and deeper engagements.
Work with Workforce Planning and Competency Lead to ensure the right skills are aligned to the right projects, balancing utilisation with team well-being.
Support the Growth team during pre-sales, shaping Statements of Work, estimates, plans, and delivery commitments.
Partner with Competency Leads to build repeatable delivery assets, templates, and accelerators.
Work closely with Marketing to support case studies, delivery stories, and thought leadership.
Own and optimise delivery tooling (e.g., Azure DevOps).
Build dashboards, KPIs, and insight reporting in tools such as Kantata to give the leadership team clear visibility of delivery health, risk, forecast, and performance.
Own our internal pricing software. support our Head of Sales with GTM and pricing support
Proven hands-on delivery experience - you've run complex projects and programmes yourself, not just managed people who did.
Background in consulting or professional services, ideally in data, analytics, or cloud transformation.
Strong commercial acumen. Confident managing project budgets, margins, and contractual obligations.
Experience building, leading, and mentoring delivery and technical teams.
Excellent stakeholder management, able to balance client needs with delivery realities.
Deep familiarity with Agile practices and modern cloud/data platforms (Databricks, Azure, Fabric, or similar).
What will it be like to work for Advancing Analytics?
You won't be walking into a mature, process-heavy organisation where the decisions are already made. You'll be shaping how we deliver, what our standards look like, and how we grow a world-class delivery function from the inside out. The decisions you make here will still be visible at 400 people.
The work itself is genuinely exciting. You'll be leading large, complex, multi-team programmes for global clients, real transformation projects across Databricks, GenAI, and modern data platforms, with technical depth, commercial weight, and high stakes.

Advancing Analytics is a multi-award-winning data consultancy specialising in modern, scalable Data and AI platforms. Founded in 2018, we have grown into a team of specialists delivering across the UK, US and EMEA, combining strong architecture with real-world delivery.
Our Databricks partnership sits at the heart of what we do. As a Databricks Elite consulting partner, we bring proven engineering standards across the Lakehouse, machine learning and Generative AI. We are home to two Databricks MVPs and over 70 Databricks certified engineers, including 11 Databricks Partner Champions. Clients choose us for dependable delivery and teams that are easy to work with.
Our partnerships with Microsoft, AWS, Sigma and Tabular Editor underpin how we design and build secure, governed Data & AI.
As a recognised Microsoft partner, we hold three Advanced Specialisations in Analytics, AI and Machine Learning, and Build and Modernise AI Apps - and we are home to six Microsoft MVPs. Most of our work with Microsoft involves Azure Databricks, and we also compliment that with our expertise on Microsoft's AI Foundry platform, focusing on safe adoption and measurable outcomes - as well as supporting our clients who are using Power BI or other parts of the Microsoft Fabric platform to integrate with Databricks. The strength of our partnership with Microsoft gives us access to the product team to provide feedback on their Data & AI Platform - and crucially for our clients gives access to exclusive funding programmes to support POCs and implementations on the Azure platform.
We focus on outcomes, not hype. We train your teams, co-deliver, and leave robust solutions that perform. Our community presence reflects our values, from our YouTube channel to local tech meetups across the UK and regular speaking slots at international Data and AI conferences.
If you want a partner who blends strategic thought with hands-on excellence and keeps things straightforward, we are here to help.
