Neighbourhood Centre Support Worker – Full Job Description
This role plays a key part in the smooth, safe and welcoming operation of our Early Help Neighbourhood Centres across Lancashire. Working under the guidance of a Senior Family Support Worker and aligned to one of our ten local delivery areas, you will help ensure children, young people, families and visitors receive a positive first experience of our services.
We’re looking for a friendly, organised and community‑minded individual to support the day‑to‑day running of our Early Help Neighbourhood Centres. Working as part of a local delivery team, you’ll be the first point of contact for children, young people, families and visitors—providing a warm welcome, answering general enquiries and signposting people to the right support.
You’ll help keep the centres running smoothly by managing room bookings, maintaining accurate service‑user records, supporting basic building checks, and ensuring the environment is safe, clean and ready for activities. You’ll work closely with colleagues to create a positive, inclusive space and may occasionally assist with group sessions to ensure families are well supported.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with the public, can stay calm and organised in a busy environment, and is committed to helping families access the support they need. You’ll play an important part in delivering high‑quality
