Job Description

Position: Delivery Assurance and Special Processes Program Manager

Location: Newigton, CT

Duration: Minimum 6 months

Frequency: Assessment 40 hours for a few weeks and then 2-3 days per week

Responsibilities:

Main responsibilities:

  • Review planning process and identify bottlenecks and opportunities to reduce leadtime.
  • Perform root cause analysis on delays and identify potential solutions to fix the issues
  • Develop and communicate weekly and daily manufacturing schedule to ensure delivery on time.
  • Create and maintain Work In Process (WIP) reports. Statusing/expediting of parts through repair cycle.
  • Host and set-up meetings with supplier and customer.
  • Provide technical support and guidance when necessary
  • Support special treatment process qualification and ensure steps are followed and requirements are met.
  • Be the main focal between the supplier and the customer
  • Provide a critical view on process and technical requirements and suggest new potential ways of working

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in aerospace or energy gas turbine
  • Experience in operations management and/or program management
  • Experience with special process qualification process
  • Experience in lean and continuous improvement
  • Experience in a supervisor/line management role will be considered an asset
  • Experience in problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Experience using the problem solving methodologies and tools: 8D, PDCA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Poka Yoke, etc.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite products. A certain degree of creativity and flexibility is required.
  • Ability to indluence and gain buy-in in challenging situations with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to communicate at all level of organisation
  • Expert (role model) that can work with no supervision.
  • Open mind and creativity to bring new ideas and questions current methodology and requirements
