Line of Service Overview

Our Deals practice helps clients create, capture, and deliver value through mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and strategic investments. We provide end-to-end advisory services, combining deep industry knowledge with technical expertise to support clients in achieving their growth and transformation objectives.

Business Unit Overview

The Deals Due Diligence and Valuations (DDV) team supports clients through financial due diligence and valuation analysis across a wide range of industries. As a generalist within DDV, you will gain exposure to both diligence and valuation engagements, developing a broad skill set to support deal execution and strategic decision-making.

How You’ll Contribute

As a DDV Associate, Generalist, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Support financial due diligence engagements by analysing financial statements, identifying key business drivers, and highlighting potential deal risks
  • Assist in preparing financial models and valuation analyses using methodologies such as discounted cash flow, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions
  • Conduct industry and market research to support transaction assessments and valuation assumptions
  • Prepare client deliverables including reports, presentations, and data analysis with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Deals and other service lines to deliver integrated client solutions
  • Participate in client meetings, take notes, and contribute to discussions on key findings and insights
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with team members and stakeholders
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyse complex data and business situations
  • Demonstrate curiosity, accountability, and a willingness to learn and grow within the DDV team

What You’ll Bring

  • 2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, consulting, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
  • Progress toward or interest in professional certifications such as ACCA, ACA, CFA, or equivalent is advantageous
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends
  • Basic understanding of financial statements, valuation techniques, and transaction processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial modelling is an advantage
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and build collaborative relationships
  • Proactive mindset with strong time management and organisational skills
  • Travel Requirements: Your flexibility to travel up to 20% of the time. This means we may require you to work away from your base office location on a regular basis and frequent overnight stays may be required. Where possible, we will take your preferences into account and strike a balance between meeting your career development/personal needs and those of the business and our clients
