Can you guide mission-critical projects from award to delivery? Do you find the area of defense, drones and sensor technology interesting?
At Squarehead, we develop acoustic sensors capable of everything from detecting drones to providing full control in demanding security environments. In short: we give people super-hearing and situational awareness when it matters most.
We are now seeking a well-organized and technically proficient Project Manager to lead customer facing delivery projects within the defense technology domain. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of complex, mission-critical systems - from pre-sales technical scoping and site assessment to customer coordination, execution oversight, final delivery, and post-delivery support handover.
You will be responsible for managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, and compliance while ensuring alignment with contractual and regulatory requirements and customer expectations. You will coordinate cross-functional teams aligning engineering, sales, supply chain, and quality to deliver system solutions on time and within budget. The role will typically involve managing several projects in parallel across different phases, from proposal development to installation and acceptance. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, disciplined program controls, and experience working with government stakeholders in highly regulated environments. This is a high-visibility role requiring accountability, precision, and the ability to drive performance in support of national defense objectives in a growing organization where processes are still being shaped.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product teams to define technical solution scopes and delivery requirements.
- Produce pre-sales documentation including technical specifications, system architectures, estimates, and delivery plans.
- Engage with customers to clarify operational needs, requirements, constraints, and acceptance criteria.
- Conduct site surveys and support pre-sales solution design, including infrastructure, power, connectivity, and installation planning.
- Lead formal project milestone reviews (fex. PDR, CDR, FDR to FAT and SAT).
- Maintain compliance with contract requirements, export controls, and defense industry standards.
- Help build new processes following modern project methodology.
- Follow up delivery milestones with customers and participate in on-site visits during test and evaluation phases.
- Coordinate with cross-department activities between engineering, production, customer experience, and support.
- Lead system configuration, integration, testing, and verification activities in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Coordinate shipping, deployment, installation, and commissioning of hardware and software systems.
- Support training, documentation, customer onboarding, and transition to customer operations teams in coordination with field application engineers and other internal specialists.
- Manage multiple customer projects in parallel across proposal, delivery, installation, and support handover phases.
We value curiosity, teamwork, and the ability to work independently when needed. We are looking for someone with an interest in fostering new solutions for rapid growth, strong organizational skills, and a genuine interest in modern technology trends, cybersecurity, and continuous improvement. You should be comfortable working in a growing organization where processes, tools, and best practices are still being established.
Relevant Skills:
· Education at Bachelor's or Master level with minimum 5 years` relevant work experience. Work experience may outweigh formal education.
· Proficiency in Norwegian and English, both written and oral.

· Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills, with a strong background in maintaining documentation and building workflow frameworks.
· Able to be cleared for a national or NATO Secret security clearance
· Comfortable managing technical customer interfaces, partners, and integrators in complex delivery environments.
· Working on projects which are meaningful, important, and genuinely cool
· A friendly and supportive team
· Small team offices and close collaboration across disciplines.
· Multi-disciplined organization, where products are developed locally in our Oslo office. The role is based in Oslo and includes a moderate amount of travel, primarily in Europe, depending on project phase and customer needs.

After six years building Rede People, and supporting more than 600 successful leadership and critical hires for some of the most ambitious technology companies in the Nordics — I’ve chosen to go solo.
This shift is about focus. I want to spend my time where experience and judgment matter most: executive search, leadership recruitment, and key commercial and technical hires for fast-scaling technology companies.
Rede remains the platform for my work. The difference is a clearer focus on the roles and companies where I add the most value.
