Decontamination Technician

Department: CSSD

Location: New Hall Hospital, Salisbury

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 weekly hours

Shift Patterns: Monday- Friday with occasional Saturdays 7am-3pm,10am-6pm, 12pm-8pm

The role:

The safety of our patients and our people is paramount to us at Ramsay Health Care UK. That’s why our work in the Decontamination Unit is vital. It’s here that we sterilise all the instruments and equipment needed to deliver a wide variety of surgical procedures and treatments across New Hall Hospital.

If you have experience in this field that’s going to be beneficial – but it’s not essential. If you’re eager to learn, we can support you through our Ramsay Academy to gain the skills and qualifications you need to join – and then develop – in the department. If you are flexible and versatile, with a real can-do attitude, you’ll be perfect for this fast-paced, patient-centred role.

What you will bring:

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

  • Good computer skills (MS Office package)

  • Flexibility and adaptability

  • Demonstrated customer service skills

  • Experience as a Decontamination Technician within a health care setting (desired not required)

New Hall Hospital in Salisbury is a beautiful Grade II Listed Building with new modern Theatres, Day Surgery, Outpatients, Radiology, Physiotherapy and Inpatient Wards.
