Mission Overview:

Keystone Solutions is seeking a skilled consultant for a critical project involving the decommissioning of an ADABAS/Natural database environment. This consultancy mission will take place at a client site, where you will play a vital role in the digital transformation efforts of our client. You will be responsible for transitioning the existing BS2000 environment to a new Linux platform while ensuring that current operations remain uninterrupted.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop technical modules for data extraction and transformation.
• Establish a replication mechanism to ensure parallel operation between the BS2000 and Linux environments.
• Analyze existing legacy processes and interpret data objects accurately.
• Document and test components to ensure reliable data availability on the new platform.
• Conduct testing and validation, including technical test scenarios and reconciliation controls.
• Identify and address issues such as missing or duplicate records and incorrect mappings.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of the BS2000 mainframe environment, particularly Natural and ADABAS.
• Ability to work with limited documentation and analyze existing programs and data flows independently.
• Proven experience in data transformation, replication, synchronization, and validation.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling critical data.
• Proactive approach to identifying risks and proposing solutions.
• Strong prioritization skills in a complex environment with multiple dependencies.
• Test-oriented mindset to ensure data integrity and reliability.
