Decom Engineer

• Experience with network services (e.g. MPLS, IP VPN, Internet)
• A structured and detail-oriented approach to technical tasks
• Curiosity and motivation to understand how services are built and decommissioned
• Fluent English (required) and preferably Swedish (will be prioritized)

About the role and the team

You will join a small, specialized Decom team within our Delivery organization, working closely with a broader engineering group of 11 colleagues. The team operates in a collaborative and easy-going environment, where flexibility and knowledge sharing are key.

As a Decom Engineer, your primary responsibility is to safely decommission network services as part of the service lifecycle. You will handle a queue of services, ensure proper unconfiguration, and validate that all components are correctly removed. The role requires both attention to detail and a solid technical understanding of how services are built, as you will work closely with implementation teams to ensure a smooth transition from build to decom.

In your first months, you will play an important role in re-establishing and optimizing ways of working within the decom function, contributing to improving structure and efficiency.

• Manage and execute decommissioning of network services
• Unconfigure services such as MPLS, IP VPN, and Internet setups
• Validate that all service components are fully and correctly removed
• Collaborate with implementation teams to understand service configurations
