Deckhand – 47m M/Y (Private)

We are seeking a professional and motivated Deckhand to join a well-run 47m private motor yacht. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who wants to learn from an experienced captain and be part of a program that maintains high standards throughout all aspects of yacht operations.

The yacht is a modern 2020 build with strong systems, clear procedures, and a captain who was involved in the vessel's build. This is a structured, professional program for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to develop strong habits that will benefit them throughout their yachting career.

About the Program

This is not a "flip-flop" program. The captain runs a traditional yacht operation with high expectations and attention to detail. Shirts are tucked in, cabins are kept clean, flags are raised and lowered correctly, and crew are expected to be present and engaged while on duty. Phones are not used on deck during working hours.

The successful candidate will be joining a vessel where professionalism, discipline, and pride in the job are valued. In return, crew benefit from a well-organized operation, clear expectations, and the opportunity to learn from an experienced leadership team.

The yacht will spend the summer cruising the U.S. East Coast with approximately two owner trips planned. The vessel operates with a healthy budget, excellent maintenance standards, and a long-term mindset when it comes to crew development and retention.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year experience
US citizen or B1/B2 Visa

Professional presentation and attitude

Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Ability to take direction and work within a structured environment

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Package

Salary: $4,000/month

38 days annual leave

Two annual flights (combined cap of $2,750)
