V.Ships Leisure is looking for Deck Steward on behalf of Orient Express sailing Yachts. The deck steward oversees the set-up and cleanliness/readiness of any outdoor areas, including pool deck and external lounging decks, as well as delivers food & beverage items to guests in these locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Sets-up, breaks-down and maintains cleanliness of pool decks and other public outdoor areas while supporting the bar team with the delivery of Food & Beverage service to Guests.
Responsible for placing and removing and maintaining pool furniture daily.
Retrieving clean, folding, distributing, picking-up and returning dirty pool towels and sunbed covers.
Providing water for guests and outdoor venues and assisting wait staff with delivering pass rounds including food, beverages and clearing dishes and glasses.
Provides luxury service to guests in a courteous and professional manner according to Orient Express standards.
Active participation in onboard training programs.
Additional duties, not mentioned here, will be expected as per management request.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
Languages: Fluent English.
Education: High school degree or related. Hospitality training appreciated.
Previous professional experience: Previous role as deck steward or utility.
Shipboard experience: Not required but preferred.
Valid STCW certificates.
Valid Pre-Employment Medical.
C1D visa mandatory for all positions.
