Deck Operative/ Banksman
Job Purpose:
Your main duties will be to: -
Safely assist in operation of various lifting and deck activités within safe working load (SWL).
-Work at height within operational limits.
-Assist in completion of preventive maintenance work.
-Optimise the safe offloading and loading of cargo to and from supply vessels.
-Overseeing the safe Transfer of personnel to and from shuttle vessels.
-Provide visible leadership to personnel to ensure safety targets are met.
-Promote NOC core values by being a safety role model, showing trust, respect and commitment,
fostering collaboration across the organization.
-Promote cost consciousness in order to embed a strong cost culture.
-Drive an incident free environment by establishing and maintaining a strong incident free culture.
-Actively participates in and promotes company health and safety campaigns, policies and procedures,
that ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all times.
-Ensure compliance with Operating Procedures and Guidelines to ensure Process Safety, Operational
Safety and Plant Integrity.
Ideally, you will have graduated with minimum Higher Secondary School Education plus a three-year technical diploma (HNC, HND or equivalent).
- Driver certificate (A certificate) issued by a recognized educational institute.
- Experience with seatrax pedestal cranes, Liebherr and hydro lift or similar.
Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 years offshore level on-field equipment in diversified oil & gas processing or petrochemical plants.
Mandatory required certificate:
OPITO Standard (Dangerous Goods by Air / HOIT/ HERTM certification and Banksman and Slinger Certification)
You are fluent in English with both written and verbal communication
You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
