Job Description

Wood is recruiting Deck Crew (AB Seaman) for Mariner B FSO on a core basis. This role mobilises from Aberdeen on a 2*3 rotation.

Carry out the following in support of work activities

  • All deck operations
  • Helicopter, helideck operation as directed by the HLO
  • Management and movement of material and equipment to work sites
  • Cleaning, wash down and waste management
  • Bunkering of supplies from supply boats
  • Assist with rigging and lifting operations where required
  • Fabric Maintenance
  • Material Management
  • Use of hydraulic morning systems for tanker offloading operations
  • Use of maintenance system to record work history on deck machinery
  • Good understanding of the LOLER & PUWER regulations
  • Tank entry preparations/ confined space rescue
  • Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective handovers are carriedout at shift and crew change.
  • Report all equipment break down and repair through the planned maintenance system
  • Identify and propose ideas and solutions that will increase efficiency in cost or time without loss of integrity and present idea(s) to management
  • Support and improve own and team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices and actively participating in supervisor workshops
  • Participate in Wood competence scheme including any multi skilled element in accordance with relevant competence framework
  • Adopt a flexible working attitude to provide support across all departments to ensure team success
  • Create, maintain & enhance effective working relations and identify and minimise interpersonal conflict
  • Maintain effective communication with all work colleagues at all levels
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and be able to apply it in the workplace

• Freefall coxswain

• STCW Efficient deck hand / able seaman
