Job Description

Minimum requirements:

  • Matric
  • Logistics or transport qualification or 2 years relevant experience
  • Must be prepared to work Night Shift
  • Computer iterate
  • Able to handle administrative procedures without supervision
  • Able to implement new administrative procedures in line with company guidelines
  • Able to supervise the correct implementation and utilisation of administrative procedures
  • Able to apply Health and Safety procedures in own work area with general guidance/ supervision in place
  • Able to take corrective action when required with general guidance in place
  • Able to execute all administrative procedures relevant to own work area
  • Able to determine correct packaging and warehouse techniques for relevant products
  • Able to implement prescribed productivity and work flow methods and ensure smooth running of operations in own work area.

Responsibilities:

  • Debriefing of Returns (full and part)
  • Ensure drivers delivery manifests are recorded on debriefing report
  • Ensure the debriefing report/dashboard is completed correctly as per the Value SOPs
  • Ensure that the customer failed delivery invoices are properly endorsed by the customer and have a customer call centre number
  • Ensure the correct parcels are scanned back in and coded correctly on the Freightware system
  • Ensure that the failed redeliveries are recorded and noted on the debriefing report
  • Ensure that the customer failed deliveries and company failed deliveries are sorted correctly to be handed to the hub, Bookings department or query cage awaiting authorization.
  • Ensure that all debriefed returns to RLOG are debriefed with correct reason codes, after debriefing parcels are locked in query cage and the next day all consignment would be on status 32 national so that the day shift Debriefer can give feedback to RLOG on a daily basis before 10h00
  • Authorisations would be forwarded by RLOG to PLZ and goods would be returned to supplier or redeliver.
  • To resolve delivery query the following options would be used, 6 enter, 5 enter 1 enter, punch depot enter and select the invoice number in hand and use M to modify ENTER and select status 60 for returns an status 30 for redelivery, goods would be forwarded to Checker to be scanned on Linehaul manifest to RLOG
  • Housekeeping (daily)
  • Clock in immediately when arriving for duty
  • Be properly dressed, in uniform if so required
  • Report to the Hub Coordinator to receive special instructions if any
  • Debriefing cage falls under the Debriefer who ensures that drivers use pallets to pack returns and collections and keep it tidy at all times
  • Debriefer to ensure that all return goods are packed separately, as well as all collections on that day and are according to the hub floor plan.
  • Correct documentation to be in place
  • Debriefer to ensure that all parcels in cages are according to the hub floor plan and to ensure that each parcel in each cage correspond against the WIP status report of the depot
  • Assist in relevant operations/operational functions as required
  • Maintain professional conduct
  • Ensure standards of Health and Safety are maintained
