Under the direction of the OCtech President and the OCtech Foundation Board, the Executive Director of the OCtech Foundation and the Dean of Marketing shall:
Provides leadership, technical expertise, and coordination to the Foundation in its efforts to raise financial resources for the College.
Effectively plans and delivers a successful marketing campaign for the college in the community and the region.
Provide management and leadership to support the overall operation of the OCtech Foundation and the Marketing department.
Assume the primary role of engaging, cultivating, and soliciting gifts from foundation board members, individual donors, businesses, organizations, OCtech personnel, and private foundations where appropriate.
Ensures appropriate stewardship of gifts and distribution of foundation funds as identified by the foundation, the president, or the donor.
In collaboration with the foundation and the college president, establish plans and activities to achieve fundraising goals that support the college's mission, vision, and goals.
Develop, manage, and support the growth of the foundation/marketing team with a focus on caring, responsiveness, flexibility, and expertise.
Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and laws of state and federal agencies.
Lead efforts in the use of data to continuously assess the effectiveness of Marketing via data analytics, surveys, and feedback from appropriate stakeholders; integrate best practices throughout the foundation and marketing department as appropriate.
In collaboration with the college's leadership, assist in developing and implementing marketing programs, strategies, and campaigns that increase the college's brand awareness throughout the college's service area.
Develop, implement, support, and assess, in conjunction with other divisions/departments, the strategic enrollment and marketing plan for the college, applying generally accepted, best practice enrollment management concepts and strategies designed to aid in the recruitment, retention, and completion of students.
Remains competent and current through self-directed professional development.
Master’s degree and at least five years of related or senior-level management experience.
Extensive knowledge of the technical college system. Thorough understanding of institutional planning, development, and marketing. Strong ability to develop community relationships to generate additional resources of funding. Strong organizational and managerial skill needed. Under the general supervision of the college's president, the employee directs development and marketing activities. Employee exercises independence and discretion in the management of the dvision.
Ability to establish cooperative working relations with faculty, staff, business, industry, and community is of utmost importance.
