Job Description

We are looking for an innovative, customer-obsessed, and analytical Marketing Manager to join the Promotions & Events Team at Amazon Australia Stores. Our vision is to deliver best-in-class online deal and shopping events for customers, tailored to their needs.

You will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of Tier 2 and Tier 3 deal and gifting events — from strategy and planning through to execution, merchandising, and performance analysis. This includes owning the deals & promotions processes, on-site customer experience, experimentation roadmap, and cross-channel campaign execution for your events in Australia.

You will gather customer and category insights, develop ideas and experiments, build innovative solutions to delight customers, and measure impact. You will grow customer engagement (frequency of shopping, basket building, spend per customer) and retention through exceptional event execution.

The ideal candidate combines strong marketing instincts with sharp analytical thinking and program management discipline. You are comfortable switching between strategic planning and hands-on execution, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can roll up your sleeves to get things done.

Key job responsibilities
Event Strategy & Execution
- Own end-to-end planning and execution of T2 and T3 Deal Events and Gifting Events for Australia.

- Develop and execute event marketing plans.

- Uncover and apply best practices, including through Amazon's global network.

Merchandising & On-Site Experience

- Own the deals and event pages, ensuring they are presented to the highest standards.

- Work with local & international teams to maintain a high experience bar.

Deals & Promotions Operations

- Own processes and mechanisms around Deals & Promotions for your events, acting as the main point of contact for support and troubleshooting.

- Develop scalable processes and introduce new tools and automation mechanisms to improve marketing efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Campaign Management & Channel Execution

- Create and execute scalable, personalized customer campaigns across owned channels (Onsite, Email & Push) to achieve engagement and traffic goals.

- Partner with internal marketing teams to develop integrated traffic plans that support event objectives.

Experimentation & Analytics

- Own local experimentation initiatives — conduct A/B tests and experiments to gather data on customer behavior and inform launch decisions.

- Analyze performance metrics, dive deep into customer data, and develop actionable insights that drive customer growth and increase engagement.

- Compile and present performance results, identifying opportunities for program growth.

Stakeholder Management

- Build relationships with and influence teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

About Amazon

Amazon is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. We are driven by the excitement of building technologies, inventing products, and providing services that change lives. We embrace new ways of doing things, make decisions quickly, and are not afraid to fail. We have the scope and capabilities of a large company, and the spirit and heart of a small one.

Together, Amazonians research and develop new technologies from Amazon Web Services to Alexa on behalf of our customers: shoppers, sellers, content creators, and developers around the world.

Our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Our actions, goals, projects, programs, and inventions begin and end with the customer top of mind.

You'll also hear us say that at Amazon, it's always "Day 1." What do we mean? That our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon's very first day - to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and focus on delighting our customers.
