The Dealership Performance and Analytics Manager will provide support for all aspects of the Porsche Business Excellence program and oversee the business management activities of Porsche Cars North America, Inc. The candidate must have an astute understanding of industry key performance indicators, dealership financial statements, and how they apply to the Porsche business for the application of retail consulting, all to drive critical business decisions. The Business Performance and Analytics Manager will perform the day-to-day tasks and responsibilities of department.

Roles & responsibilities

Primary responsibilities:

  • Management of PCNA dealership financial statement submissions and data quality.
  • Management of KPI System, including enhancement recommendations, bug reporting, and user acceptance testing prior to deployments in agile development cycles
  • Audit monthly network composite reports and validate for publishing.
  • Serve as a KPI, dealer financial performance and Business Management expert for Porsche Cars North America, Inc.
  • Development of composite and ad-hoc reports at the national/area/regional/auto-group and dealer level relevant to the U.S. market
  • Automate recurring reports and data feeds by coordinating with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Train PCNA internal and field-based workforce on KPI System, dealer financial statements and market share related KPIs.
  • Ongoing development and editing of comparison and analysis materials in support of Porsche Business Excellence retail consulting.
  • Identify performance issues across the organization and communicate them between departments, field force and dealer network with recommended improvements to maximize effectiveness.
  • Supervision of field contact reporting platform “Action Item Manager” to monitor interactions at the dealer level. Identify areas of opportunity and recommend improvements to platform by liaising with PAG and MHP teams for execution of opportunities.
  • Interface with Area Network Development Managers to identify dealer financial performance deficiencies. Collaboratively develop action plans for dealership improvement and hand off to Area Network Development Manager for implementation.
  • Manage all event planning and logistics for 20 Group meetings, including contract negotiation, vendor acquisition, attendee communications and coordination.
  • Identify and disseminate best business practices to local stakeholders in addition to Porsche AG team.
  • Manage vendor relations with Business Management and other external providers.
  • Ensure dealer accounting guidelines and practices are current and correctly utilized.
  • Manage annual financial statement updates and system modifications.
  • Liaise with other PCNA departments to develop or fine-tune PCNA programs, processes or systems to improve support of Dealers in finding, winning and retaining customers.
  • Attend and participate in dealership consultations to identify program improvements as needed.
  • Prepare all Porsche Business Excellence retail consulting reports for Porsche AG team. Identify and provide recommendations for improvement with Porsche retail consulting world-wide.
  • Adapt PBE concepts to market specific requirements.
  • Create PBE steering committee presentation and analysis for presentation to executive and senior management.
  • Develop tools and interactive reports for field teams to utilize during dealer visits.
  • Development and coordination of inputs for bi-annual dealer review, including quarterly distribution of dealer review KPI slides.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree related to Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance or related field at a minimum.
  • MBA preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum five years of relevant work experience.
  • Dealership accounting/financial management and/or business development experience is preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize large datasets into meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to quickly become the subject matter expert on various software applications to train internal stakeholders and dealer partners.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite knowledge, including Word, Excel (document linking and advanced formulas), PowerPoint
  • Thorough understanding of dealership accounting practices.
  • Thorough understanding of financial statements and key performance indicators.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Detail-focused.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of dealership business facets (Sales, Marketing, Aftersales, Management).

Percentage of required travel:

  • Travel required approximately 15%, to attend dealer meetings, support company initiatives and coordinate with field and corporate staff.

The salary range for this role is $100,000-$125,000. However, it is important to note that at Porsche, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
