Your Path to Becoming a Dealer

Our FREE Dealer School Certification Program offers high-quality training to prepare you for a fast-paced, high-volume, and customer-oriented environment.

What You'll Learn: The class is approximately 6-8 weeks long, with each session lasting 2.5 hours. You will master the skills needed to:

• Deal assigned table games according to established procedures.
• Engage players with energetic and enthusiastic customer service.
• Maintain the integrity of the game and comply with all IL regulatory requirements.
• Manage game pace, exchange cash for chips, and resolve player issues quickly.

We're Looking For:

• Individuals with basic math skills.
• A passion for exceptional guest service (previous experience is a plus!)
• The ability to attend the full 6-8 week school (5 days a week).
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Able to work a flexible schedule upon completion, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform the act of mechanically dealing a game in a proficient manner, according to current company policies and procedures and applicable gaming regulations.
• Responsible for handling guest transactions and notifying Table Games Supervisor or Table Games Manager of any irregularities, disputes or arguments that may arise during the game among players/dealer.
• Exchanges currency for gaming chips and pay or collect bets according to house rules in an accurate manner.
• Supports and maintain Rivers Casino -- Des Plaines guest service standards at all times while promoting outstanding guest relations.
• Provide the utmost in guest service.
• Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the Illinois Gaming Board Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program as described in Section A of the Rivers Casino -- Des Plaines ICS.
• Complies with all gaming policies/procedures as established by the division and/or Des Plaines ICS.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• 1 - 2 years experience in particular multiple casino games required. Craps or Roulette dealing experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with Team members and guests
• Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process
• Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays
• Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing
• Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, twisting, bending and lifting
• May be required to sit for periods of time
• Frequent grasping, squeezing and handling of money and bundles
