Job Description

The main responsibility of the Dealer Manager is to proactively manage, lead and develop the Dealership through a strong customer- and business focus. This entails managing daily operations, maximize customer satisfaction and developing motivated teams in order to achieve financial and businesses performance targets. And thereby, contributing to Scania’s profitability.


The Dealer Manager ensures that the Dealershipds works together with other departments to achieve common business objectives and that there are necessary resources, competences as well as facilities to fulfil and uphold set strategies and targets.

Job Responsibilities

Dealership Management
Create profitability by managing the dealership to meet current and future customer needs and business targets in accordance with plans and strategies

  • Drive a strong commercial focus on EBIT and Capital KPIs, ensuring a clear business mind-set and strong customer focus throughout the Dealership.
  • Communicate defined strategies and targets, action plans and achievement of results.
  • Coordinate sales; negotiate commercial terms on products, parts and services. Ensure alignment across the operations.
  • Manage business planning processes considering market situation and the future vision of the Dealership as well as Scania in general.
  • Participation and development of new sales and services opportunities. Encourage entrepreneurship.
  • Optimise resources and secure harmonised approach and processes in regards to sales processes and in workshop processes.


Dealership Operations –
Run the daily operations in a safe and profitable way by setting and following up clear targets, enabling and engaging teams and implementing a continuous improvement approach for two dealerships and four customer sites.

  • Plan and organize daily operations, ensure targets and results are followed through, focus on consistent increased productivity and efficiency in the Dealership.
  • Foster and encourage customer orientated mind-set.
  • Participation in key deals as well as in sales and services meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with DOS, Local standards, laws, policies and procedures and SHE.


Dealership Sales and Marketing –
Act as a broad external representative for the Dealership and Scania in general, showcasing the Scania’s presence, interacting with customers, business associations, unions, schools etc.

  • Proactively develop new and maintain existing customer relationships.
  • Participate in managing key customers and interaction with key bodies/stakeholders.
  • Close collaboration with Scania Finance under the CCO way of working.
  • Foster the SCANIA Brand.

Applicants must mee these minimum requirements:

  • Matric/Grade 12, Tertiary education in relevant field advantageous (Sales/Marketing)
  • Relevant business knowledge and experience (3 – 5 years) in a similar role
  • Extensive managerial and leadership experience preferably in (Automotive industry)
  • Experience from a position with a large number of direct and indirect reports
  • Experience in Sales, Workshop Processes and Service Delivery (DCS)
  • Driver’s license
