Accountabilities:
The Dealer Development Manager will be responsible for developing and expanding a dealership partner network across Ontario. This role combines business development, consultative sales, territory management, and partner success to establish strong market penetration and long-term relationships.
- Prospect and acquire new dealership accounts across Ontario, building a strong pipeline of independent and franchised dealer opportunities.
- Develop relationships with Dealer Principals, Finance & Insurance Managers, and key dealership stakeholders.
- Present solutions that demonstrate business value, improve dealership profitability, and support customer retention strategies.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from initial outreach and qualification through negotiation, onboarding, and partnership development.
- Train and support dealership teams on product offerings, sales processes, and implementation strategies.
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for dealer partners, ensuring strong engagement and satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop territory strategies to increase market share and strengthen regional presence.
- Support smooth implementation processes and collaborate with internal teams to ensure partner success.
- Operate independently while managing priorities, activities, and results across an assigned territory.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a motivated automotive sales professional with a proven ability to build new business relationships and grow territories. You should have strong industry knowledge, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to influence dealership decision-makers.
- 5+ years of experience in automotive aftermarket, vehicle protection, warranty, finance and insurance (F&I), or related industries.
- Demonstrated success in business development, dealership acquisition, and territory growth.
- Strong hunter mentality with experience generating opportunities independently and building a book of business.
- Existing relationships with independent and franchised dealerships in the Greater Toronto Area and/or Southwestern Ontario.
- Strong understanding of dealership operations, profitability drivers, and automotive retail economics.
- Ability to communicate effectively with dealership owners, managers, and finance professionals.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working with significant autonomy.
- Willingness to spend approximately 80–90% of time traveling within the territory.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities.
