The Deal Desk Sales Support Analyst plays an essential role in driving our International VS&A Sales Organization's margin and revenue growth goals. By offering the most competitive pricing to our partners and channels, you will ap ply strategic pricing scenarios through ongoing collaboration with Sales, Procurement, Purchasing, Accounting, and Finance. You will run scenarios for individual project P&Ls, analyze cost structures, and negotiate proactively to maintain profitability. Whether you are holding a Bachelor's degree or bringing equivalent practical experience, your analytical mindset, dispute-resolution abilities, and market research skills will contribute directly to winning projects and delivering profitable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing Strategy & Financial Impact
Analyze and evaluate price exception requests (LOUs), simulating P&L scenarios using historical data, gross margins, and cost structures to make informed decisions.
Collaborate with the Finance team to understand cost structures and calculate gross margins for equipment lists, helping to ensure compliance with approval and authorization policies.
Adjust discounting using historical and real-time data to optimize performance and deliver the best possible value for our customers while protecting margins.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Negotiation
Liaise with Sales, Procurement, Purchasing, and Accounting teams to process and coordinate channel price exceptions and internal bid programs.
Negotiate with the sales team to avoid margin erosion, explaining the rationale behind costs and highlighting the value of the proposed solution.
Coordinate pre-quarterly meetings with Territory leaders to define and discuss Letters of Understanding (LOUs) and analyze all historically approved prices at the country or distributor level.
Process Management & Market Analysis
Document price exception requests, the approval process, and final agreements to meet audit requirements and maintain absolute transparency.
Research industry benchmarks and competitor pricing to help to provide market-competitive bids.
Manage proposal development per request from the VS&A CVP, consolidating costs from presales engineering, post-sales groups, and third-party quotes.
2+ years of experience in sales support, deal registration, regional partner/channel programs, channel operations, deal desk, or sales roles.
Job Requirements
Technical Expertise
English Language to communicate and write proficiently in an international business setting.
Financial Modeling to consolidate costs, calculate gross margins, and run P&L scenarios for individual projects.
Data Analysis to review and evaluate the justification, impact, and precedence of pricing adjustments and alternative solutions.
Professional Experience
Sales Process Knowledge to navigate deal registration within a technology, software, or services environment.
Negotiation & Dispute Resolution to handle high-pressure requests from sales teams, collaborating to find mutually beneficial pricing without margin erosion.
Project Management to handle multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment, applying excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools, specifically Salesforce (SFDC).
Bachelor's degree specializing in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
