Capital Chevrolet Buick GMC is looking for a Deal Desk Accounting Clerk who thrives at the intersection of accounting, sales, and operations. This role is critical to keeping our dealership running smoothly ensuring every vehicle sale is accurately processed, funded, reconciled, and closed with precision.

What You’ll Do

As a key member of our accounting team, you’ll be responsible for the full lifecycle of vehicle deals, including:

• Posting vehicle sale files and manufacturer invoices
• Calculating gross profit and sales commissions
• Tracking vehicle funding, financing, and incentives
• Claiming and following up on manufacturer incentives
• Monitoring and collecting accounts receivable (customer & manufacturer)
• Reconciling floorplan statements for new and used vehicles
• Preparing customer lien payouts, loan buyouts, and referral cheques
• Reconciling warranty, insurance, and factory receivable schedules
• Managing chattels for traded, auctioned, or transferred vehicles
• Identifying and correcting deal discrepancies and tracking adjustments
• Collaborating closely with the Sales team to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintaining organized records and performing general clerical duties
• Staying current on industry regulations, tax laws, and best practices

What We’re Looking For

You’re organized, accurate, and confident working with numbers in a high-volume environment. Ideally, you bring:

• Post-secondary training in accounting (an asset, not required)
• Basic knowledge of accounting systems, budgets, and internal controls
• Familiarity with payroll systems and processes
• Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency with accounting and computer software
• Ability to calculate, post, correct, and manage financial records
• Deal processing experience in a dealership environment (an asset, not required)
• A team-first mindset and strong communication skills
