Position: Regulatory & Scientific Affairs (RSA) Category Lead (Pet Food)

Level: Section Manager

Work location: S.M. Tower, Bangkok, Thailand

About the Role

Lead regulatory and scientific affairs activities for assigned product categories (Pet Food), ensuring regulatory compliance, food safety, and market access across global markets. Provide strategic regulatory guidance, generate actionable regulatory intelligence, and support innovation and business growth through strong stakeholder engagement and science-based advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Strategy & Advocacy

  • Drive regulatory strategies that support innovation and business objectives.
  • Monitor and assess regulatory developments and business impacts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities, industry associations, and key stakeholders.
  • Advocate science-based positions to facilitate product and ingredient approvals.

Regulatory Compliance & Market Access

  • Ensure end-to-end regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead product registrations, dossier submissions, and approval activities in target markets.
  • Provide regulatory guidance on formulations, ingredients, labeling, claims, and applicable regulations.
  • Support food safety, quality compliance, audits, and claims substantiation.
  • Develop and strengthen regulatory frameworks that enable innovation and business growth.

Regulatory Intelligence & Knowledge Management

  • Manage regulatory databases and information systems.
  • Monitor emerging regulatory, food safety, and quality risks.
  • Translate regulatory insights into clear business recommendations and risk mitigation actions.
  • Promote regulatory capability building and best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in Regulatory Affairs, Scientific Affairs, Food Safety, Quality, or related fields within the food industry.
  • Strong understanding of global food regulations and product registration processes.
  • Strong regulatory leadership with the ability to align regulatory strategy with business priorities.
  • Deep knowledge of food regulations, food safety, compliance, and risk management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with regulators and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.
  • Proven capability to lead projects, drive collaboration, and build organizational capability.
  • Proficient in English.
