WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Systems Specialist you manage and support DC systems, ensuring optimal performance, troubleshooting issues, coordinating upgrades, training users, and oversee incident management to maintain seamless operations.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Provide user training and technical support for new system releases and functionalities
  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, networks, software applications to support operational continuity.
  • Execute system upgrades, patches, and tuning to ensure efficiency.
  • Oversee WMS, WCS, and PLC interfaces, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Translate and distribute release notes.
  • Lead issue resolution, including participation in incident response and reporting.
  • Ensure system functionality and stability to support seamless business operations.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to introduce new technologies and enhance existing systems.
  • Coordinate release schedules and system downtime with key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication.
  • Identify and recommend system enhancements based on performance metrics and user feedback.
  • Administer access controls, user permissions, and system security protocols.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will join a team of 15 DC System Specialists at H&M Distribution Centre (DC) in Eskilstuna, led by DC Team Leaders - Systems. You will work close with H&M operational leaders to control and improve the processes.

The DC in Eskilstuna today consists of approximately 400 colleagues who take responsibility for the logistics operations and distribution of fashion items for our retail customers across Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland and Denmark.

  • Deep knowledge of DC technology infrastructure, WMS, WCS, and supporting systems.
  • Experience in creating reports to identify improvement opportunities
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving system incidents.
  • The ability to quickly learn, apply, and clearly communicate new system features, ensuring they are effectively implemented.
  • Skills in coaching, training, and supporting others in a proactive and developmental way.
  • The ability to foster a culture of diversity, trust, openness and inclusion in an empathetic, proactive, and positive manner.
  • Strong organizational skills, including maintaining accurate documentation that adheres to company standards, as well as knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and the ability to follow them.

This is a full-time temporary position until 31 December 2026. Collective agreement with Unionen. You will need to work a flexible work schedule that includes evenings and weekends. The location is based in Eskilstuna, which is part of Logistic Region Europe. As DC System Specialist, you report directly to the DC Teamleader - System. Start date during spring or by agreement.
