We are seeking an experienced Distribution Center Operations Manager to lead daily operations within our Front Royal Distribution Center and play a critical role in the success of our facility. In this leadership position, you will oversee warehouse operations, safety, staffing, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement efforts while developing future leaders and driving a culture of accountability and engagement.

As a key member of the site leadership team, you will partner closely with the General Manager and cross-functional business partners to execute operational strategies, improve performance, and support growth initiatives.

Important: This position is currently scheduled for night shift; however, candidates must be shift-flexible. The selected candidate may be assigned to a day, mid, or night shift based on business needs and should be willing to occasionally support alternate shifts as operational demands require.

What You'll Do

Lead Distribution Center Operations

  • Direct and oversee all facets of warehouse operations including receiving, putaway, replenishment, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and returns.
  • Ensure operational execution consistently meets customer service, quality, productivity, and cost objectives.
  • Drive consistent performance through standard work, process focus, and performance management.
  • Monitor workflow, labor utilization, and facility performance to improve efficiency and efficiency.
  • Develop staffing and capacity plans aligned with forecasted business demands.
  • Maintain an organized, efficient, and audit-ready operation.

Build High-Performing Teams

  • Lead, coach, and develop Department Managers and frontline leaders.
  • Create a culture centered on accountability, engagement, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish clear expectations and provide ongoing coaching, development, and performance feedback.
  • Support hiring, talent development, succession planning, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Promote effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization.

Champion Safety & Compliance

  • Foster a safety-first culture where associates are empowered and engaged in workplace safety.
  • Conduct operational reviews, inspections, and observations to proactively identify and mitigate risk.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis to drive sustainable corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive initiatives that improve workplace safety, operational quality, and customer satisfaction.

Drive Continuous Improvement

  • Use benchmarks, operational reporting, and key indicators to measure success and discover opportunities.
  • Lead initiatives that improve productivity, efficiency, inventory accuracy, quality, and cost performance.
  • Analyze business trends and operational data to implement process improvements and best practices.
  • Drive labor optimization and resource planning through data-driven decision making.
  • Promote a culture where innovation, problem solving, and continuous improvement are part of daily operations.

Partner Across the Business

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Transportation, Inventory, Sales, Finance, Human Resources, and other business partners.
  • Serve as a key contributor to site leadership initiatives and overall planning activities.
  • Provide operational insights, performance analysis, and recommendations that support business growth and customer service excellence.
  • Support enterprise projects and operational initiatives that enhance network performance.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a Distribution Center, Fulfillment Center, or large-scale warehouse environment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, labor planning, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop leaders, and achieve operational results.
  • Experience utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), labor management tools, and operational reporting platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to employ data to make informed decisions.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Location Flexibility: Successful candidates must demonstrate a willingness to relocate to various U.S. locations throughout their career to support organizational needs and advancement opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading multiple operational departments and shifts within a high-volume distribution environment.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement certification.
  • Experience with workforce planning, labor management, and capacity modeling.
  • Proven success driving improvements in safety, productivity, inventory accuracy, quality, and service levels.
  • Experience leading operational transformation and organizational change initiatives.

Pay Range:

$9,075.00 - $14,525.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
