The Program Associate (PA) is an undergraduate part-time student staff member of DC Community Impact Scholars We believe that life in the residence halls provides students an important opportunity to complement their classroom learning experience. The PA fulfills a vital role in the residence hall by helping students integrate learning experiences gained from both inside and outside of the classroom. The primary function of the PA is to facilitate experiential learning and to design out of class experiences that complement the classroom learning for students in the Impact Scholars program, as well as to serve as an undergraduate TA to the faculty memberAdditionally, the PA is responsible forfacilitating interpersonal relationships and creating an academic living-learning community that maximizes the opportunities for exploration and personal growth. The PA is also expected to assist with Impact Scholars Admissions events.

Essential Functions:

  • Help students integrate learning experiences gained from both inside and outside of the classroom.

  • Facilitate experiential learning and to design out of class experiences that complement the classroom learning for students in the Impact Scholars program.

  • Serve as an undergraduate TA to the faculty member

  • Other duties assigned.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • Part-time.

  • 10 hours per week.

Salary Range:

  • $18.40 per hour.
