DISTRIBUTION CENTER ASSOCIATE - WEEKEND SHIFT

REPORTS TO: DISTRIBUTION CENTER SHIFT MANAGER

STATUS: NON-EXEMPT

SHIFT: SATURDAY-MONDAY 6:00AM-6:30PM

The Distribution Center (DC) Associate is responsible for pulling product from weekly distribution requests using a forklift or order picker. This role will also assist with shipping and receiving, light computer work, the use of DC equipment and requires the ability to work well in a team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pulls product for all weekly distributions to stores
  • Prepares and stages orders for shipping
  • Operates powered industrial forklift/reach truck to transport inventory, unload incoming stock and load orders
  • Ensures proper paperwork is completed before product is sent out to stores or events
  • Back stocks all incoming freight to respective bin locations
  • Assists with receive incoming freight
  • Assists with new store/event receiving and tagging
  • Unload/load trucks
  • Monitors equipment and reports problems to supervisor
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat
  • Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, teammates, corporate partners and vendors.
  • Adhere to all local, federal and state laws in addition to Company policies, procedures, and practices. These may include but are not limited to signing, pricing, OSR, and loss prevention and comply with the Company’s Time & Attendance policy and procedures.
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management.
  • Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of work experience.
  • Experience utilizing computer systems.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving/order picker preferred.
  • Proficiency with inventory/database programs and POS System knowledge preferred, Epicor NSB a plus.
  • Ability to operate distribution center equipment such as pallet jack, reach truck, forklift, etc.
  • Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
