Job Description

As a DBT Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical solution across DBT project lifecycle including integration with existing data and analytics platforms and tools (both on-premise as well as cloud databases). You would be working with a team of developers fostering a culture of support and collaboration.

You will contribute to the role by:

9-12 Years of Data and Analytics experience with minimum 8+ years ETL tools & technologies like DBT (Data Build Tool) and DBT Cloud, Informatica, Snowflake, Spark, Kafka, Python etc.

1. Excellent communication and presentation skills.

2. Extensive experience in DBT – DBT CLI, DBT Cloud, GitHub version control and repository knowledge, DBT scripting to design & develop PLSQL processes to perform complex ELT processes and data pipeline build

3. In-Depth experience on DBT concepts such as Models, Materialization, Sources, Seeds, Snapshots, Packages, Hooks, Exposures, Analyses.

4. Proven experience on End to End DBT project implementation technical solutions, including architecting, designing and development and guiding team as needed. Experience in identifying architecture gaps that can improve availability, performance and security for productions systems and working towards resolving those issues along with development team.

5. Working experience in Snowflake; use of SnowSQL CLI, SnowPipe creation of custom functions and Snowflake stored producers, schema modelling, performance tuning etc.

6. Good Understanding and knowledge on CI/CD process and GitHub->DBT-> Snowflake integrations

7. Advance SQL knowledge and hands on experience on complex queries writing using with Analytical functions, Troubleshooting, problem solving and performance tuning of SQL queries accessing data warehouse as well as Strong knowledge on stored procedures

8. Good experience in developing UNIX and Python scripts for data auditing and automating various database platform manual activities.

9. Excellent Experience in other ELT/ETL & Streaming tools & technologies i.e. Informatica Power Center, SNOWSQL, SnowPipe, Spark and Kafka

10. Well versed with Waterfall, Agile, Scrum and similar project delivery methodologies.

11. Experienced in internal as well as external stakeholder management

12. dbt Analytics Engineering Certification as well as SnowPro-Core / SnowPro-Advanced certification will be added advantage.

13. Nice to have skills: Working experience in Reporting technologies like Tableau or Power BI and Exposure to Cloud Analytics native services of AWS/AZURE/GCP etc.

14. Good to have Hi-Tech Manufacturing domain experience.
