We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our IT Operations team, IT Operation & Control Room Department
The ideal candidate will work primarily on Oracle databases , including on-prem, cloud, and Autonomous Database environments, ensuring our applications run efficiently and reliably.
What you'll do:
Analyze AWR (Automatic Workload Repository) reports and identify performance bottlenecks.
Monitor database activity and detect anomalies and inefficiencies.
Review and optimize SQL query execution plans to improve performance.
Provide recommendations for indexes, hints, or query rewrites to enhance efficiency.
Collaborate with application developers to ensure high-performing queries and database operations.
What you'll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Database Administrator focused on application and query performance.
Strong knowledge of Oracle + database performance tuning
Experience with query optimization, indexing, and execution plan analysis
Ability to detect anomalies in database workloads and propose corrective actions.
Excellent analytical skills and clear communication with development teams.
Proficiency in English & Italian;
