Daycare Teacher (Closing Shift)
Location: The Learning Experience – Clarkston, MI
Pay: $16–$18 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Closing Shift (9:00 AM–6:00 PM or 9:30 AM–6:30 PM)

The Learning Experience – Clarkston is seeking a dependable and caring Daycare Teacher to support our classrooms during the afternoon and closing hours. This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys working with children of different ages and helping maintain a calm, positive end-of-day routine.

Our center serves infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in a structured, play-based environment focused on safety, consistency, and developmentally appropriate learning.

What You’ll Do:

• Support classroom activities during afternoon and closing hours
  
  
• Work with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers as needed
  
  
• Assist with daily routines including meals, diapering or toileting, rest time, transitions, and play
  
  
• Engage children in play-based learning, sensory activities, music, and early literacy
  
  
• Help maintain clean, organized classrooms and prepare spaces for the next day
  
  
• Greet families during pickup and support smooth end-of-day transitions
  
  
• Follow all Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
  
  
• Childcare, daycare, or preschool experience preferred
  
  
• CDA or early childhood coursework a plus, not required
  
  
• Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices
  
  
• CPR and First Aid preferred or willingness to obtain
  
  
• Reliable and comfortable working a closing schedule
