Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Wheel Loader Operator to join our day shift team at the sawmill. This position is responsible for safely and efficiently loading wood chips into chip trucks while maintaining steady production flow and adhering to all safety standards.

Position
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a wheel loader to load wood chips into chip trucks
- Ensure chip trucks are loaded safely, evenly, and within weight limits
- Maintain consistent communication with truck drivers and supervisors
- Monitor chip levels and maintain proper stockpile management
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of equipment
- Report mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly
- Follow all company safety policies and yard traffic procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area

Qualifications:
- Previous wheel loader experience (industrial or sawmill experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of heavy equipment safety practices
- Ability to operate equipment efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good attendance and reliability required
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and drivers
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Work Environment:
- Outdoor industrial sawmill environment
- Exposure to dust, noise, moving equipment, and changing weather conditions
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and operate equipment for extended periods
- Ability to climb in and out of loader multiple times per shift
- Ability to perform routine equipment inspections
