Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and inspire a team by fostering a positive, supportive, and collaborative work environment
• Oversee day-to-day program operations, ensuring high-quality, person-centered services for all participants
• Build and maintain strong relationships with families, community partners, and stakeholders to support program success
• Supervise, train, and support staff, including onboarding, performance management, and ongoing development
• Coordinate participant intake processes and ensure appropriate support plans are implemented
• Monitor staffing levels, schedules, and coverage to maintain efficiency and minimize overtime
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations including DMH/DD, DHSS, Medicaid Waiver, and safety standards
• Manage program documentation, billing, and record-keeping to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Analyze program performance and implement improvements to enhance quality and operational efficiency
• Promote a culture of open communication, recognition, and continuous improvement
• Advocate for individuals served and ensure services remain responsive to their needs
• Maintain confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and a safe environment for all participants
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in human servicesor a related field required
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities required
• Relevant experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis
Additional Qualifications:
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance required
• Strong knowledge of social services and community resources
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage crisis situations calmly and effectively
• Demonstrated experience in supervision and team development
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
• Proficiency in documentation, reporting systems, and communication platforms
Physical Requirements
• Perform sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
• Use repetitive hand, finger, and arm movements for typing and writing
• Sit for extended periods with occasional walking or standing
• Move objects or materials as needed within a typical office environment
Supervisory Requirements:
• Communicate the strategic direction of the organization and encourage team participation
• Provide leadership and guidance across all aspects of the department
• Monitor and support the development and execution of strategic objectives
• Engage team members in achieving departmental and organizational goals
• Effectively communicate departmental updates and organizational changes
• Address difficult team situations with professionalism and collaboration with Human Resources
• Champion innovation and lead implementation of new ideas
• Reinforce a team-oriented approach and encourage input from all levels
