Goodwill is looking for a full-time Day Habilitation Associate at our Iowa City location. This position requires two years of full-time employment in a related field. Post-secondary education in a related field may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Under the leadership of the Lead Day Habilitation Specialist, this position serves as a direct support professional and program manager for a caseload of people with disabilities. Day Hab associates oversee participants, develop relationships with referral agencies, write client-centered goals and plans, and represent our department at team meetings. Associates also provide assessment and training regarding personal, social, and communication, recreation and leisure, and academic and work behaviors and skills, for a caseload of individuals with disabilities.
Day Habilitation team members help participants with barriers to independence explore the community by going out for lunch, grocery shopping, volunteering, swimming, fishing, visiting museums, and more. Agency vehicles and public transportation are used for all community activities.

The Day Habilitation Associate position has a starting wage of $18.82-$20.70 per hour. The schedule will be 40 hours per week and the hours will typically be Monday-Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm.
