The Orthodox Union (OU) is the largest Orthodox Jewish organization in the United States. Founded in 1898, the OU supports a network of synagogues, youth programs, Jewish and Religious Zionist advocacy programs, programs for the disabled, localized religious study programs, and international units. The OU maintains a kosher certification service, whose circled U symbol is found on the labels of manykoshercommercial and consumer food products.

Jewish Union Foundationis seeking a motivated, energetic,and detail-oriented individual for aprogramassistant position.This position is Full-Time, in-person and is based inBrooklyn.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the day-to-day functioning of a Day HabilitationProgram,including arranging transportation
  • General administrative projects
  • Drivingagency vehicles for client transportation
  • Collectandorganizeroutinepaperwork,including attendance and data collectiondone through electronic software
  • Assist in creating and implementingworkshops,including leading group workshops
  • Planweeklytrips
  • Connect, as needed,withfamiliesand outsideagencies regarding day-to-day needs
  • Coordinate special projects
  • Act asliaison betweenProgramSupervisor andsupport staff
  • Assisting (staff) andindividualsasneeded, including when individualsaredisplaying challenging behaviors.
  • Oversee theroom setup and clean up; ensurewe have the proper suppliesfor corresponding activities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in OPWDD services

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is between $50,000 and $60,000, commensurate with experience.
