Job Description

Job Title: Day Group Concierge

Department: Sales

Reports to: Day Group Sales Manager

Responsible for receiving incoming leads for day groups interested in visiting the waterparks, ski mountain, snowtubing hill and mountain adventures of Camelback Resort throughout the year. Also responsible for contracting/closing on day group opportunities to positively impact hotel revenues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a full working knowledge of the operations of the hotel, including Food and Beverage, Guest Services and Reservations.
  • Maintain the standard of responding to all leads within a 24hour period.
  • Develop a complete knowledge of company sales policies and SOP’s, and ensure knowledge of and adherence to those policies as a part of the sales team.
  • Meet or exceed set goals.
  • Assist in the preparation of required reports in a timely manner.
  • Be familiar with all Hotel sales policies and selling techniques with an emphasis on maximizing admissions through-put and average ticket price.
  • Conduct a professional, thorough site inspection of the hotel with clients, exhibiting key features and benefits of the property.
  • Use your property’s computerized sales management system to manage the hotel’s business, including (but not limited to) generating reports, entering business, blocking space and building accounts.
  • Meet and greet onsite contacts.
  • Develop networking opportunities through active participation in community and professional associations, activities and events.
  • Review group leader evaluations with the Director of Sales to ensure high level of guest satisfaction is maintained and any issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Entertain clients.
  • Attend staff meetings, morning meetings and other meetings as requested.
  • Perform all other duties as requested.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in working in customer service/guest service preferred
  • Basic mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with the public and other team members in verbal and written form
  • Possess a natural desire to serve others and deliver a quality guest experience
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and work in multiple systems at one time.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Follow and enforce all hotel standards
