PKM Canada Marine Terminal LP is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Foreman at Vancouver Wharves in North Vancouver. Vancouver Wharves handles bulk cargo including mineral concentrates, diesel, sulphur, and grain products on behalf of our customers.


In this role, you will supervise longshore workers and lead maintenance activities with a strong focus on safety, trust, and respect — values that shape how we work at Pembina. As a leader, you will foster collaboration, demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset, and create a differentiated experience for our workers, customers, and partners.


This position directly contributes to Pembina’s strategic priorities by ensuring resilient, efficient, and environmentally conscious operations that support our long term success.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

    • Support Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules”. To read more about our Life Saving Rules, visit pembina.com/safety;
    • Provide direct supervision of longshore workers, ensuring safe, respectful, and inclusive work practices.
    • Ensure all maintenance and operations support activities are completed in compliance with Pembina procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
    • Apply strong problem solving skills to proactively develop solutions and achieve operational goals
    • Support talent development through coaching, feedback, and fostering effective teamwork.
    • Complete and maintain documentation related to maintenance, safety, and performance.
    • Create a team environment that aligns with Pembina’s commitment to inclusion, diversity, and psychological and physical safety.
    • Ensure work is completed within Pembina Maintenance Management (PMM) guidelines.
    • Provide leadership and assistance during emergency response situations.
    • Support continuous improvement and adaptability across an operation that runs 24 hours a day 7 days a week working shift work.
    • Model and promote learning agility by adapting quickly to change, encouraging experimentation, and continuously integrating new insights into team strategies and practices.
    • Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications:

    • Proven experience leading crews in a unionized, heavy industrial environment.
    • BCTQ or IP ticket as an electrician (required).
    • Experience with mobile and fixed plant equipment, including bulk handling equipment, considered an asset.
    • Comfortable using MS Office and other business related applications.
    • Demonstrated ability to motivate, direct, and support others in a safe, efficient, and respectful manner.
    • Strong communication and relationship building skills aligned with Pembina’s values and leadership capabilities.
    • Committed to continuous learning, adaptability, and supporting change.
    • Ability to work rotating shifts across a 24‑hour schedule.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Proven ability to demonstrate learning agility by rapidly adapting to changing business environments, embracing feedback, and continuously evolving leadership approaches to drive team and organizational success.


This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing as well as a Driver’s Abstract.

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
