Job Description

The Day Camp Craft Counselor is responsible for planning, preparing and teaching how to make crafts to children ages 5 – 12, during summer Day Camp.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare for crafts for each class time during summer Day Camp
  • Assist with the purchasing of supplies
  • Responsible for the safety and supervision of campers in each class, with assistance of their counselor
  • Attend all staff meetings
  • Prepare and clean meeting space after each session
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Some college preferred
  • Some experience in working with and teaching children

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Some artistic and creative skills and experience preferred

Computer Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
  • Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
  • Willingness to learn new software as needed

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
  • Complete First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days
