Implementing preventative health and safety measures
Implementing safe travelling and off-site practices while providing adequate supervision during these timesmaintainingdocumentation ofchild’sdevelopment
Establishing an environment to foster positivebehaviourin the program
Promoting a healthy lifestyle
Adapting programming and equipment to unique settings and situations
Advocating for children and families.
Reviewing safety-related issues.
Support the holistic development of all children.
Build meaningful relationships withthe children
Meet health,welfareand safety needs.
Accommodate for children’s allergies.
Providefirst-aidand CPR whenrequired
Follow safe toileting and diapering procedures.
Identifyand report suspected cases of child abuse and neglect.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
The performance of the job requiresfrequentlylifting/moving equipment and children, room set-up, moderate amount of teaching, leading etc
Use of thetablet or iPad for parent communication
Possibility of intervening in physical confrontations
Cleaning the facility and putting up wall displays.
The incumbent is required to lift up to 30 pounds with no assistance from others.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of high school isrequired
18 years of age or older (Canada Summer Job age requirement between the age of 18-30 years of age).

Compensation:
The target hiring range for this position is $18.50 to $23.13 with a maximum of $27.76.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
