The DataOps / Platform Engineer is responsible for the overall operational health, reliability, backup and archiving, and strategic planning of UVM Health's enterprise analytics data platform. This role ensures that the Microsoft Fabric environment and related data infrastructure is stable, well-monitored, appropriately backed up, and optimized for the needs of a growing analytics organization. The DataOps / Platform Engineer also leads the exploration and onboarding of new data sources, working with business stakeholders and data engineers to assess feasibility and plan technical integration.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field required.
Experience:
• 4+ years of experience in data platform operations, DataOps, or cloud infrastructure roles.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure infrastructure, or equivalent cloud data platforms.
• Experience designing and managing backup, archiving, and disaster recovery processes.
• Familiarity with job scheduling, monitoring, and alerting tools.
• Experience working in agile product delivery preferred.
