Department Overview

We are engaged in the development of infrastructure to support Rakuten Life Insurance's services.
By leveraging new technologies, we prepare the necessary environments for applications to operate, create efficient and user-friendly environments for business departments, and enhance Rakuten Life Insurance's services. This is a vital position that supports the foundation of Rakuten Life Insurance.

We will support the Infrastructure of Rakuten Life Insurance.

You can do all the work from upstream to downstream in a position close to the user.

Database Engineer:

- Definition of requirements and design and implementation and maintenance of Life Insurance database. (new database for upcoming the Rakuten Life infra)

Project management:

- Organize project team and lead your project (e.g. manage the schedules, budget, each task)

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Over 5 years of experience in database requirements definition, design, and construction

- Over 2 years of experience as an in-house IT engineer (SE)

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience as a project leader for entire system projects.

- Work experience in the financial industry.

- Self-Starter: Someone who is proactive, takes ownership, and has a forward-thinking attitude rather than being passive.

- Strong Communication Skills: The ability to influence and collaborate with others, including coordination with other departments, to drive tasks forward through effective communication.

- Hands-On Approach: Not only capable of management but also able to perform tasks such as system construction and troubleshooting independently.
