The Database Engineer provides technical expertise in database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, and data flow/analysis. This role develops relational and/or object-oriented databases, parser software, and database loading software.
Key responsibilities include:
The DE works primarily at the front end of the lifecycle (requirements through system acceptance testing and Initial Operational Capability).
Requirements
Experience Minimum 10 years in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity; at least 7 years developing SQL Server database architecture.
Education Bachelor’s degree in an IT discipline from an accredited institution (may substitute 4 years of database engineering experience in lieu of degree).
