We are hiring a Database Engineer
Hybrid working model — Belgrade or Novi Sad office

We are hiring a Database Engineer to embark on a transformative journey with Synechron Serbia. Your role will be integral to our Business Intelligence and Reporting initiatives, where yourexpertisein data structures and platform integrations will play a key role. Support andoptimizedata processes to enable agile, data-driven decision-making for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in developing a long-term project in the field of investment banking

• Create andmaintaindata structures for reporting systems, ensuring integrity and performance

• Develop andoptimizedata exchanges and integrations between various platforms

• Design, develop, and improve stored procedures, functions, and scripts for data operations

• Optimizedatabase and query performance through indexing, tuning, and troubleshooting

• Collaborate on data modeling, database design, and data warehousing architecture

• Build and enhance ETL processes to support efficient data movement

• Conduct source-to-target data mapping exercises foraccuratedata integration

• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to understand and fulfill business needs

• Work within a distributed international team

• Follow the Scrum/Agilemethodology

Your Profile:

• Expert knowledge of SQL with extensive hands-on experience in MS SQL Server or Redshift platforms

• Strong understanding of relational database management system (RDBMS) concepts

• Proven experience in developing stored procedures, functions, and scripting for databases

• Deepexpertisein query performance optimization, including indexing and tuning

• Solid background in data warehousing concepts and best practices

• Experience in data modeling and database design principles

• Skilled in developing ETL workflows for data movement between systems

• Curious and relentless problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Plusif you have:

• Experience working with AWS tools

• Familiarity with BI tools

• Background in the financial services industry
