Corning Incorporated seeks Database Architect to work full time in Tewksbury, MA. Develop/test/deploy/maintain production big-data ingestion pipelines using established frameworks, patterns of practice, agile software development & continuous delivery/deployment; work w/ data source teams to define data ingestion requirements for structured, unstructured, & semi-structured data, pilot implementation, & ensure user acceptance; define/implement automated validation & profiling capabilities to ensure reliable data delivery; define/develop data cleansing & enrichment processes to ensure usable final data sets. Up to 10% domestic travel. Requires Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, or related. 3 yrs. exp.: in big data engineering; developing & maintaining ETL or ELT pipelines for data warehousing; w/ production programming in modern languages (i.e. Java, Scala) & interpreted declarative programming languages (i.e. Python); using SQL & data enrichment to prepare & join data from business consumption systems. 2 yrs. DevOps exp. using AWS platform services, incl.: AWS storage & elastic compute, DMS, relational databases, Hadoop, RedShift, Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, or CloudTrail.
