Job Description

Database Administrator, SeniorHighPoint professionals focus on helping government agencies and companies implement their most critically strategic initiatives. The role of Database Administrator, Senior contributes to HighPoint to administer, test, and implement computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems.  JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:   
  • Coordinate changes to computer databases. 
  • May plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases. 
  • Administer, test, and implement computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems. 
  • Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.  
  • Plans and leads major technology assignments.  
  • Supports QSEP SQL Server databases hosted in CMS AWS.
  • Implements data retention and archival requirements per CMS/NARA.
  • Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.  
  • Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.  
  • May supervise others.  
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:  
  • Significant knowledge of multiple Relational Database Management Systems  
  • Experience with database installation, configuration and tuning. 
  • Advanced technical understanding of client/server computer platforms and operating systems. 
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills. 
EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:    
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience.
